2008 Spring Turkey and Squirrel Hunting Guide

PUBLIC LAND HUNTING

WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREAS

Spring turkey and squirrel hunting are open under statewide regulations on all Kentucky Fish and Wildlife-owned or managed WMAs except those listed here.

This section lists WMAs where special regulations are in effect, or where hunting is closed. If you spring turkey or squirrel hunt any of the open WMAs listed below, you can only do so as outlined under the area listing.

General laws for hunting, such as equipment requirements, shooting hours, and turkey recording, checking and tagging requirements, apply to hunters on WMAs just like everyone else. Kentucky Fish and Wildlife urges hunters to be courteous, sportsmanlike and conduct themselves with safety in mind at all times while using public (or private) lands.
