EXECUTIVE SESSION
Pursuant to KRS 61.810 all meetings of a quorum at which any public business is discussed or at which any action is taken by the agency, shall be public meetings, open to the public at all times. However, there are certain exceptions where agencies may enter into a closed session provided that notice is given. Therefore, the Commission has asked that you be informed that we will be invoking the following exception and entering into a closed session at this time.
1) Land Acquisition – KRS 61.810(1)(b) authorizes the Commission to enter into a closed session to discuss the future acquisition or sale of real property by this department when publicity would be likely to affect the value of a specific piece of property to be acquired for public use or sold by a public agency. We have determined that the discussions that will take place during this closed session would likely affect the value of specific pieces of property that may be acquired for public use and could directly affect the public financial interest. Several properties will be discussed during this closed session.
