Kentucky's Species Information for Public Hunting Area Twin Eagle WMA
The following is a checklist of observed and expected species for Twin Eagle WMA. The observations are from our biologists, scientific collectors, and researchers. A number (e.g., 3) in the “Observed” column represents sightings of that animal in 1984 or after. A blank means that the species has not been reported. A value of "pre-1984" is displayed for species not reported since 1984. Predicted species occurrences are from Kentucky Gap. A value of ‘predicted’ means the species range and habitat characteristics of the species are present on the WMA. For birds, species were modeled based on likelihood of breeding and wintering, but not on migration. Predictions of fish and mussel species are not available at this time. Species where the common name is bold are Kentucky Wildlife Action Plan species.
