Directions & Description: Letcher County, with a small piece in Harlan County. Take Little Shepherd Trail (Trail 1679), 5 miles southwest of Whitesburg off US 119. Mountainous and steep, with narrow ridges and numerous rock outcroppings, entirely forested in mixed hardwoods. Sightseeing, hiking, on Little Shepherd Trail. Owned by Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources.
