Art Lander Jr. grew up in Louisville, but left the suburbs behind in 1985 when he bought a 110-acre farm in Henry County. Lander joined the staff of Kentucky Afield magazine in 2010, after working for 22 years as a daily newspaper outdoors and sports reporter. He is an avid deer and wild turkey hunter, who has been bow hunting since 1970.
