Television Series

Since 1994, Kentucky Afield for Kids provides an exciting way for students to learn more about Kentucky's rich natural resources. These 30-minute televised programs, produced in cooperation with Kentucky Educational Television (KET), are geared for intermediate and middle school students. Programs air Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. EST/9:00 a.m. CST on KET's Star Channel 703.

Teachers are encouraged to integrate Kentucky Afield for Kids into their classroom studies. Students are encouraged to mail in letters, photographs, artwork and nature journals to be displayed on future episodes of Kentucky Afield for Kids.
