All runners receive a long-sleeved race jersey. Prizes will be awarded in 5 age and gender categories. All proceeds benefit the Salato Wildlife Education Center.

The 4th Annual Trail Run is on, and we’ve added a new 0.19 mile section of trail to keep it interesting! The Cabin Creek Trail was created September 8 by volunteers from Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Georgetown, and goes past the remains of an old log cabin which pre-dates the Civil War. This new section is mostly flat and allows us to zig zag runners just a bit more through the woods. The course begins on the relatively flat grounds of the Ky Fish and Wildlife Headquarters, then enters the Pea Ridge Loop Trail. Pea Ridge is rated moderately strenuous to the average hiker, is mostly wooded, and very hilly. All of the obstacles expected in Mother Nature may apply! The course ends on the outside exhibit trails of the Salato Center at the Butterfly Amphitheater.
