Ringtones Gone
Wild
Authentic Sounds of Kentucky
Wildlife for Your Cell Phone
Instructions
There are several
ways to transfer ringtones to your cell phone. They include Data Cable, Blue
Tooth, Infra Red, and downloading to your phone via internet. All require a few
steps.
Step 1:
Your phone needs
to able to accept polyphonic ringtones in the .mp3 format. Most phones do. You
may need to contact your cellular provider to determine your phone’s
compatibility. You may also need to ask them to enable your phone for internet
access and to receive multimedia email. Generally, these features are free to
activate and you pay only per use. These data fees are charged by your cellular
service provider not Kentucky Fish and Wildlife.
Step 2:
Right click on the
ringtone you want to send to your phone. Select “Save Target As” (“Target” is
the same as ringtone or audio file). Save the file to your computer’s C: Drive
or anywhere you can easily access it. Please remember this path as you will
need it for downloading in a moment.
Step 3:
Transfer:
Follow the
directions with your transfer software/programs.
Go to
http://www.mobilatory.com/send
This service
is free; however, you will need to create a username and password. Once
logged in, select Send to Phone from the top menu bar on the page.
You will then Browse your computer to find the file you saved in Step
2. Follow the rest of the instructions on the page and then click on the
orange Send to Phone button.
In a moment, a
text message will be sent to your phone. Select the option to Access
or Go To (if you do not have this option or are having problems
downloading the ringtone, please contact your cellular provider or read the
manual that was provided with your phone). This should download the
ringtone to your phone. Save the file as a ringtone.
All done.
