WHO'S
ELIGIBLE?
All Kentucky residents ages 11-18 who
are Hunter Education certified.
The
first 500 eligible youths who present their Hunter Ed orange card¯ or Hunter
Ed number, or a Hunter Education Course Completion Certificate from Kalkomey, and sign-up at the Fish & Wildlife booth at the
2012 Kentucky State Fair will get their free license.
WHAT WILL
YOU GET?
Ages 11-15: May receive the KY
Youth Sportsman's License.
Ages 16-18: May receive the KY Sportsman's License.
(A Sportsman's License is a combination hunting & fishing license that includes
deer and turkey permits.
The KY Sportsman's
License also includes state waterfowl and trout permits.)
HOW DO YOU GET IT?
2 Easy Steps:

If you are not already Hunter Education certified, complete the Hunter Education Certification Program prior to
attending the Kentucky State Fair anytime between August 16-26, 2012

Complete the
2012 Kentucky State Fair License Offer
online, then print out your confirmation page and bring with you to the
KDFWR booth at the 2012 Kentucky State Fair.
(Otherwise, you may bring your Social Security # and
Date of Birth with you to the Fish and Wildlife booth at the fair.)

Hunter Education Certification Options
(Must be completed by August 26, 2012):
You may complete the Hunter Ed program using one of these options:

Online course option for $10 ($5 discount) from
hunter-ed.com.
Once you have successfully completed the course,
just enter coupon code

on the payment screen to receive the $5 dollar discount.
(Participants will need to bring certificate of
completion, and completed affidavit as instructed, to the 2012 Kentucky
State Fair). The live-fire requirement must be completed at the Kentucky
State Fair at the Fish and Wildlife booth to satisfy remaining hunter
education requirements.
