Starting Sept. 8, 2025, habitat crews will begin a project to selectively remove cedar trees on Meadow Creek Wildlife Management Area (WMA). The project will be paused during the following Deer Hunting Seasons:
This work will enhance plant diversity, creating a better habitat for deer, turkey, small game, and many other species. Removed cedar trees will be repurposed for fish habitat in Lake Cumberland during the fall and winter.
This project is expected to end on Dec. 31, 2025. Signs will be posted.
