Camp Webb is co-educational. Boys and girls from the same county will attend camp during the same week. Cabins and counselors are assigned by gender.

Camp Webb operates for eight weeks (Beginning in June).
Campers are transported to camp by bus on Monday morning and return home on Friday. Campers are picked up and dropped off at a predetermined location in or near their home county. D KDFWR personnel arrange transportation through local school districts or a charter bus service. Transportation costs are included in the camper registration fee.
Campers receive instruction at each activity and are encouraged to participate. If a camper does not wish to participate in a certain activity, they may abstain. However, if they abstain, they will not be eligible to earn the activity patch or the outdoorsman or outdoorswoman award. Firearm Safety, Archery, Nature, and Outdoor Survival activities will contain portions of the Kentucky Hunter Education Certification tests. Students who complete all portions successfully will earn their Hunter Education Card (aka Orange Card), which is a lifetime certification.
