Upper Green River Public Access Site Descriptions
Roy’s Mill Road Access:

Roy’s Mill Road fords the river upstream of Liberty, KY. Best access is from the south side of the river off KY 70. Follow the single lane gravel road to the river. Limited parking is available at the ford crossing. This site provides good access for canoes and kayaks. Bank fishing is limited to the ford crossing since the adjacent property is privately owned. No other amenities exist at this site.
Old Water Plant Road Carrydown:

This drive to the water is located off Old Water Plant Rd immediately downstream of the KY 70 bridge crossing. A grassy road bed provides easy access for canoes and kayaks. Parking is available along the side of the road. Bank fishing is limited to the area around the river access. No other amenities exist at this site.
Central KY Ag Expo Center:

The expo center is located off US 127 on the south side of Liberty, KY. Anglers can bank fishing throughout the park’s boundaries along the 1.0 mile of the Green River that boarders the park. Canoe and kayak access is available near the pedestrian bridge and picnic shelter. Anglers will find plenty of graveled parking and concessions on most weekends. The park is annually closed the first weekend in June and is for day use only.
KY 70 Bridge Carrydown:

A gravel access road is located on the northwest corner of the KY 70 bridge (also known as Shugars Hill Rd) located south of Liberty, KY. Follow the gravel road to the water. Parking is located along the access road. This site is suitable for canoes and kayaks. Bank fishing is also available. There are no other amenities at this location.
Green River Valley Road Ford:

It is best to access the ford from US 127, parking is limited at the ford depending on water levels and along the roadside. This site provides good access for canoes and kayaks. Bank fishing is available but limited to the area directly around the ford due to adjacent private property. Please do not block the ford and respect private property. No other amenities exist at this site.
Neatsville Bridge:

An old road bed located off Eunice-Dunnville Rd provides access to the Green River on the upstream side of the KY 76/206 bridge crossing. After turning off KY 76/206 onto Eunice-Dunnville Rd, go about 150 yards, first driveway on left. Parking is limited to about 5 vehicles, it is not recommended to use this site with a trailer because turning around would be difficult. Bank fishing is available at this site and is suitable for carrydown canoes and kayaks. No other amenities exist at this site.
Green River WMA Carrydown:

A gravel ford crossing is located in the Green River WMA off Duckbill Rd. Beware that after heavy rains Duckbill Rd does have some areas that may have standing water on the road. Parking is along the road side, please do not block the ford. This site does provide bank fishing and canoe/kayak access. No other amenities exist at this site.
Snake Creek Boat Ramp:

A single lane concrete ramp and large gravel parking area suitable for trailered boats is located on the Green River Wildlife Management Area. This site is located in the headwaters of Green River Lake. Bank fishing is available upstream and downstream of the ramp with additional bank access on Snake Creek. No other amenities exist at this site.
