FRANKFORT, Ky. (Feb. 27, 2023) — A conservation officer with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources responded Sunday afternoon to the South Fork of the Licking River in Harrison County, where a search was underway for an individual who had fallen into the water at Robinson Dam.
According to initial reports, a 14-year-old Cynthiana, Kentucky girl was taking a photograph while on the dam when witnesses said she slipped and fell over the dam around 5 p.m. Sunday.
Harrison County Search and Rescue found the girl approximately one hour later. Emergency medical services personnel and the conservation officer administered CPR at the scene.
The girl was taken to Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana and then flown to UK Albert Chandler Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
The investigation is ongoing.
