Kentucky Afield Outdoor 2016 Calendar CoverHunters, anglers and outdoor enthusiasts have enjoyed Kentucky Afield’s Outdoor Calendar for decades. The calendar is packed with useful information ranging from proposed hunting season dates to monthly nature events to fishing tips to help you have a better day in the field. We’ve even included the major meteor showers so you’ll know when to look to the skies.

This year features a special treat: We’ve reduced the size of our popular Kentucky Fish poster to fit into the centerfold of the calendar. This poster features 27 fish commonly found in Kentucky – it’s a great identification tool for all anglers.

Kentucky Afield calendars are not sold in stores, however. They are included with the price of a Kentucky Afield magazine subscription. Calendars are mailed once a year to current subscribers.  Subscriptions must have been current on Nov. 15 for guaranteed delivery of the 2017 calendar with the regular mail-out. Subscribers who missed the mailing deadline will receive the 2018 calendar in December 2017.

Kentucky Afield, the official magazine of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, is a family-friendly publication which emphasizes skill building and enjoyment of the great outdoors. It's a great and inexpensive choice for the grandchildren on your list – or for yourself.
