FRANKFORT, Ky. (Sept. 1, 2026) — An online auction to sell surplus equipment from the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources opens Sept. 1, 2026.
Hosted by The Logsdon Group, the auction runs through 10 a.m. (ET) on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, and features nearly 40 surplus items, including trucks, tractors, mowers and other maintenance equipment. A complete list of items is provided at The Logsdon Group Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources webpage. Registration is required through The Logsdon Group website and is open throughout the auction window.
Items are located at three different department-owned wildlife management areas (WMAs) and another department office in western Kentucky. Winning bidders will need to pick up their items at the locations where they are housed, as listed on the auction page:
During the auction period, potential bidders may contact each WMA with questions or requests to view the auction items. At the conclusion of the auction, winning bidders will receive payment instructions from Kentucky Fish and Wildlife. Payment shall be submitted to the department by Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, at 4 p.m. (ET). If payment is not received by that time, the sale will be forfeited and offered to the next highest bidder.
Once paid, winning bidders will receive a paid receipt to pick up their item(s) and will be responsible for contacting the location to schedule pickup. Items must be picked up on Thursday or Friday, Sept. 24-25, 2026, between 9 a.m. (ET) and 4 p.m. (ET).
Titles and registrations will be available at completion of sale. Items are sold as-is and will not be available for hands-on inspection prior to the sale.
Accepted forms of payment will be credit card or debit card. Final pricing will include a 10% buyer’s premium and 2.75% surcharge for credit or debit card use.
By law, proceeds from Kentucky Fish and Wildlife auctions are directed into the department’s fish and game fund and subject to auditing by the state Auditor of Public Accounts. The fund is used for the department’s normal operating expenses, including fish and wildlife conservation and related recreation programs across the Commonwealth.
