The Kentucky Bat Working Group (KBWG) was formed in 1999 and is comprised of researchers, educators, environmental consultants, government agencies, and interested citizens. The goals of this group are to 1) provide information about bats (especially those that occur in Kentucky) in hopes of enhancing bat conservation efforts, and 2) improve communication among those who care about bats and, specifically, those involved in bat research in Kentucky.
