Struttin' In The Bluegrass

The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources (KDFWR) is proud to present, Struttin’ in the Bluegrass – Season 6! We will present live hunting turkey action for the first 5 days of the season in the great state of Kentucky! It will include a new show every day, 5 days hunting on private and public land. In today’s environment and life of social media, customers and consumers are more demanding than ever. It is no different in the world of outdoor entertainment. Hunters love to see action as it is happening live and relates to them. We are super proud and excited to present this format of outdoor entertainment and education.

The host of Struttin’ In The Bluegrass is one of Kentucky’s favorites, Merle Hacker. A lifelong hunter from Hyden, KY, Merle grew up chasing small game before calling in his first turkey in 1998-and he’s been hooked ever since. With 15 years at KDFWR, he’s passionate about protecting Kentucky’s outdoors and sharing the thrill of the hunt. Now, he’s passing that passion on to the next generation- his daughter, Emily, who bagged her first turkey last spring and is already counting down to the next season!
